This Week's Deals from Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone!

It a busy time here in the studio ... and I like it like that!  I have spent far too much time trying to use a new-to-me video editing package, and when it finally cyber-*coughed* and closed ..... leaving my complete 2nd version of the video in the dust ... it was time to get started on April's Creative Crew challenges for Splitcoaststampers, and prep for a new class as well!

Decode the above, please?  I'll have brand new goodies to share here starting April 1st, when the CCREW Gallery opens!

Today I'm popping in to share this week's special deals from Stampin’ Up!  Check to see if there's
something listed that you need to replenish ... or maybe it's something you've been wanting to try out!   Send me an email ( texasgrammyx2@yahoo.com ) if you spy something "with your name on it", click here to place your online order immediately.

You're Invited!

Hi everyone!

I’m sharing Stampin’ Up!’s reminder that Sale-A-Bration 2014 ends in just 10 more days.  If you’ve been wondering about or considering joining my Texas Rubber & Ink team with Stampin’ Up!, there are some extra benefits to joining right now, including a FREE ticket to our Stampin’ Up! Convention, 2014!

You’re Invited!

If you were to guess what 6000 feet of theatrical truss, 20 miles of cable, and 218 one-ton chain motors had to do with Stampin’ Up!, what would you say?

Go ahead . . . take a guess!

Give up?

They are just a few of the many things that go into making Inspire. Create. Share. (our annual convention) a success.

You’d think that bringing enough chain motors to suspend 16–1/2 city busses would be exciting enough, but trust us: it would be absolutely no fun without you!

We want you to join us this year for Inspire. Create Share. and experience one of our biggest parties of the year. Just think—you could spend three epic days and two nights learning new techniques, swap with several thousand brand-new stamping buddies, and take home more free goodies than you could shake a stick at. (No chain motors—we promise!)

But wait . . . there’s more! If you join Stampin’ Up! now, we’ll waive your Inspire. Create. Share. registration fee (an almost $300 USD value). That’s right . . . you can attend for FREE. You just pay your hotel and travel expenses.

And if that isn’t sweet enough, get this: if you join before the end of March, you’ll be eligible for Sale-A-Bration benefits. That means you’ll receive an extra $25 USD worth of products in your Starter Kit! So act now and join us for Inspire. Create. Share. 2014.

I welcome your questions, whether about this invitation to join Texas Rubber & Ink!, or about placing customer orders 24/7 at http://beverlygerard.stampinup.net .

In any event, get out there a share a smile-worthy day!

Stuff ... It Happens

Hi everyone!

I have blogging news ... but alas, it's not the news I had hoped to be posting.
So here goes ...

After far more time & days than I even wish to admit ... the latest technique video that I've been working on most of this week has simply gone "Poof"!                From Millan.Net

That's the shortest way of saying that my editing program literally shut down mid-afternoon today.  No warning bells ... no saving ... no rescue ... no luck for this girl today.   Call me "Outta".

The rest of March includes a few family events, a couple of "away" appointments, a class here in my studio, and time to design & create my projects for the upcoming Creative Crew Challenge Gallery opening for April!  Then, and only then, I will plan to get this video out here, from me ... to you!

Thanks for your smiles, your generous sprinklings of Mojo Dust, and your patience!

Good Thoughts Coming Up! * (even for the guys!)

Changing pace

I did a lot of that during this past week!
  • Added a "stress test" to my schedule.   I recommend this for causing stress if you need/want it.  Otherwise, not bad, but not necessarily a "good time" either.
  • Add in overnights with a Grand ... due to Spring Break!  This is a good thing for tuning up my Wii skills, but does nothing for the stampy zone for the duration.   ;)
  • Now comes the "Lego Movie".  While I noticed that it can cause unscheduled 'napping' for grown-ups, it does seem appealing to the elementary crowd.  Approved by 'Grands'!
  • And as long as things are changed up this week, let's change themes on my stampin' table!

Every now & then an idea comes to mind that works for the guys in our lives.  That's how I felt about this one.
Even though there's more than one layer, it still feels lik a CAS (clean & simple) in my books.

And did you notice?   If you don't happen to have any ribbon left in your stash ... that works for this project!

I hope you found something inspiring here today.  I do enjoy sharing with you ... It's good for the creative spirit.

Make a Wish! - or - Lots'a Dots!

Today I'm sharing a card that we made in last weekend's class.  Originally I designed it as a 'Thank You' card for my upline, but who can resist the Sweet Sorbet papers?  I love this dsp!

In class, ladies got to use the Big Shot for both die cutting with the Banners framelits, as well as embossing with the Polka Dots folder.  Just a short line of piercing was added at the top of the sentiment banner.

I appreciate your visits.  Please feel welcome to pause a moment to say "Hello" one of these days!
Happy day to you!

Fringe & Banner Mega Bottle Cap

Still hoping that yesterday's "sharin' of the green" will begin to work some weather wonders & bring on some Spring!

While we wait, I'll share a 3D decor idea with you today!  Please don't tell me that I'm the only one who has a 'stash' of crafty items that is just ready & waiting to be brought out into the light.  Are there any brave stampers/scrappers out there willing to confess?

I'll go first.  This huge, 4-inch diameter 'bottle cap' has been amongst my alterables for too long, i.e. many months.   Now it's filled with little goodies and has its own spot here in my stampy zone.  The background paper is from the Watercolor Wonder dsp.
Next, fringe scissors to the play table to create a happy two-color blossom, with leaves from the Secret Garden stamp set & dies.  The little 5-piece banner was a snap, from the Sale-A-Bration 'Banner Blast' stamp set and coordinating 'Banner' punch.  Tiny dots of Crystal Effect glued the banners to Linen Thread.  Then Mini Glue dots were used to adhere it all to the bottle cap's edges, with a couple of Candy Dots for good measure.

In reality, this project has morphed one final time for better display here in my stampy classroom area.  The Taffeta Ribbon is great for wall hanging, but I've since removed that and it is now appearing on the magnetic display board here in the studio.

Okay ... Now it's your turn to confess to 'stashing' use-it-someday-goodies!

So glad you're here ... and I'd love to see you back again.   Hope you've found some inspiration for your own craftiness today!

Wasabi Birthday Wishes!

Welcome to March, everyone!

It's been a crazy-busy time here for the past 2 1/2 weeks or more ... so I owe y'all a big apology for missing blog posts.  So off we go into our brand new month ... getting that much closer to finishing off this incredibly cold & icy & snowy & crazy winter!  Yay!!

Let's do it up in green!

Wild Wasabi green is the main color here, and it's CAS for an easy start.   I honestly adore the Watercolor Wonder designer series papers from the Occasions catalog.  This green chevron is just one of the several awesome papers in the set.  And, it will matches beautifully with your Gumball Green cardstock as well!  Marina Mist cardstock & ink are used in small amounts as an accent color.  'Subtles Candy Dots' are an easy little addition ... they're even self-adhesive!

See those bitty banners on the lower  portion?  The 'Banner Blast' stamp set (133554) and the 'Banner' punch ( 133519) are FREE Sale-A-Bration choices!

That's it for now!  I have several more creations to share here this month.   Hoping that you found some inspiration here today!
